Walk-to-School Day Winners!

Walk-to-School day was a great success this term - made even better by the nice weather! Thank you to all those who got up early to walk to school from places as far away as Stirchley and Moseley. Walking to school more often reduces pollution, reduces traffic congestion and makes us fitter!

I'm pleased to announce that the classes with the
most walkers were 1B and 3B. Well done!

Voice of the Library:
This book is so good that it is currently my favourite book of all times! It is called Warriors into the Wild by Erin Hunter. It is about a cat called Rusty, who lives the pampered life of a house cat but he doesn't think it is the life for him. He ventures alone into the neighbouring woods, intent on discovering the truth behind the horror stories of evil cats that lurk in the trees and eat bones for dinner. Instead of that, he finds a new friend, Graypaw, who is part of Thunderclan, the cats that the stories talk of. Rusty enjoys life there and quickly becomes an apprentice. Unfortunately, Rusty arrived at the wrong time, just after the mysterious death of Redtail, Thunderclan deputy and Ravenpaw, witness of redtail's death, has made a suspicious enemy of Tigerstripe. Rusty and his friends are determined to find out the real cause of the 'accident', but will the clan ever believe them? Most of all, will they protect the clan from the murderer? It is an amazing book, and many people I know really enjoy it. I would say that this book is for any body in keystage 2. Have a good read!

A Story By Lucy H....PART 4

Lola fidgeted as she stood waiting by the door of her colourfuly decorated classroom. She had arranged with Miss Harnold that they would have a chat at lunch time so that Miss Harnold would undersand why Lola was a bit grumpy. Just as Lola was going to go and look for her teacher, Miss Harnold came trotting down the brightly lit corridoor.
"Sorry I'm a bit late; I had a bit of a long conversation with Mrs Fornet from year two," she was almost singing in her jolly voice.
Soon Lola was blurting out the whole story in detail; she had a good relationship with most teachers. Miss Harnold sat listening, quite suprised by the Lola that was being described now. At the end of Lola's speech Miss Harnold thought for some silent seconds. After that she fumbled through her letter folder and produced a cream letter from it.
