Football: Who wants to come 4th?

Mr. Taylor here: It's all happening, there are only a couple of matches to go until we find out who has won the English Premier League, Manchester United or Chelsea. Chelsea are still one point ahead but have to play harder matches than United (such as against Liverpool).

What is surprising is that other teams are working really hard to come 4th! The top four teams in the Premier League qualify for the Champions League next year - and the large amounts of money television companies pay them for playing in it. That money - and the respect that comes from playing in such an important competition - could make a real difference to those teams in the future (Would Torres or Messi play for a team who weren't one of the best?).

Why have I put this on the blog? Because one of those teams is Aston Villa -

and one is the team that I support, Tottenham Hotspur (Tottenham or 'Spurs' come from London where I grew up).

The other teams competing for 4th are Manchester City and Liverpool.
Do you support a football team? If not, then support St John's team which is playing again this Thursday. Whoever you support, find out how they are doing and let me know.
(but not if Villa win the race for 4th place because that would mean that my team have lost and I may cry!)
