Global News

Hiya, it's Nisha and Bethany! This is our last Global News Update before Easter. Today's story:

The Arm Phone

If you're sick of carrying your phone around with you, scientists could have come up with a solution: a phone that you dial on your arm! It sounds crazy but the experts at Skin put have invented a gadget that projects your phone's numbers onto your skin. To make a call you just dial the numbers where they appear on your arm - and the 'phone' will call your friends! The device is still being developed and won't be in the shops for a while. At the moment you have to carry a projector with you for the device to work. The projector is strapped to your arm, and projects a keypad on your skin. When you touch a key, the movement is picked up by a sensor in the projector which sends a message to the gadget telling it what to do.

The Living Eggs

The eggs arrived in nursery, we waited 3 days and finally the eggs started to hatch. It took the chicks a long time to break out of the shells. The chicks were wet soggy and very tired. Once the chicks were fluffy and strong they went into a brooder box with a light bulb to keep them warm. The children enjoyed holding them, they said the chicks are fluffy and soft.

Global News

We guess you know who we are by now, it's Nisha and Bethany with some more news. Today's story is...

It's Raining Giant Hail Stones

The west Australia city of Perth has been hit by a huge hailstorm. Car windows were smashed by hailstones the size of golf balls, while the storm also brought torrential rains, flooding, landslides and strong winds. Lots of schools have had to close, hospitals have been flooded, and many homes are without electricity because power lines blew over. In just seven minutes the city had the same amount of rain it normally gets in a whole month. The damage, which included an airport terminal losing its roof, is thought to be around £66.5m.

A Story By Lucy H..... PART 3

Lola stumbled into class with a frown hung on her face. Her backpack was bulging with random things like bouncy balls, boxes and stuff like that. She wasn't late but still people stared at her when she entered. Miss Harnold, worried about Lola ,quikly finished the register , came over and layed her hand on Lola's hunched shoulder.
"Can...can I have a chat with you at lunch time?" mumbled Lola. Miss Harnold was fine with the request and postponed some other plans immediatly. The morning went so slow that it seemed lunch wasn't ever going to happen. Lola nearly fell asleep when finally the dear lunch bell rang.
