Mrs Seymour has fun in Year 4!

It was great to work with Year 4 yesterday afternoon! What enthusiastic classes they are! We were learning how to use Turtle-an 0n-screen "robot" that we can control. Yesterday was just the beginning... The real fun starts next week! See you then 4N and 4C!

Mrs Smith comments...

I am so impressed with the fantastic paintings year 6 have done in a Japanese style. Did you know we had a link with a school in Japan? Well we have and year 6 have been finding out more. We had some great origami sent to us from our link school along with Christmas cards. We are learning a Little Japanese!

Good to see we really are 'a learning community' have you seen the pictures of the staff having Spanish lessons after school? (In their own time too without being paid...) Well done to all of you!!

St John's: A Learning Community!

In order to help them with their teaching a number of members of staff are giving up some of their own time after school to learn Spanish. Here they are hard at work.
You're never to old to learn something new!

...and more!

6R & 6L: Japanese Art

Year 6 have a link with Tsuto Elementary School in Japan. We have been looking at Japanese art and culture and have produced these fantastic pieces of art based upon historical prints and paintings from the Edo period of Japan's history.
