It's Raining Giant Hail Stones
The west Australia city of Perth has been hit by a huge hailstorm. Car windows were smashed by hailstones the size of golf balls, while the storm also brought torrential rains, flooding, landslides and strong winds. Lots of schools have had to close, hospitals have been flooded, and many homes are without electricity because power lines blew over. In just seven minutes the city had the same amount of rain it normally gets in a whole month. The damage, which included an airport terminal losing its roof, is thought to be around £66.5m.
