Another book review from...

Voice of the Library: Hello! It is me again with another fantastic book- I do hope you are keeping up! Today's book is 'Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief'. As I am am sure you already know it has recently been made into a film, and if you have watched it, I am sure that you will have enjoyed it as much as I did! It is about a boy called Percy Jackson ( surprise surprise!) who has dyslexia, and ADHD, and thinks that he is nothing special when WHAM, he is chased by a Minotaur, his friend is a satyr, he is sent to a camp he has never even heard of, and his mum explodes into gold dust. That camp however, is Camp Half-Blood, where he discovers he is a son of a major greek god, and that the camp was made to protect all demi-gods. Everything is fine until disaster strikes- Zeus's lightning bolt has been stolen- and everyone thinks that as a son of Poseidon, Zeus's rival, that Percy has stolen it. Zeus gives him a deadline to get it back, expecting to get it before the summer solstice in a weeks time. Will Percy, Annabeth and Grover return the lightning bolt in time? Will they work out who the traitor is? Worse, will they even survive the journey? Find out all the answers in 'Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief'! I give this amazing book a 10/10 and I think that anyone in year 5+ will like it.
